Since I'm only working a few days of the fair I'm not doing daily posts. Sunday morning I stopped by to drop off some goodies for the booth and of course had to grab a few snacks. Tuesday I brought Parker and we had a mommy and me day and I let her chose the foods! Here is the food we tried those days!
Sunday
Dill Pickle Cheese Curds - From the Original Cheese Curds stand
It's the fair.. if you go more than once you have to have cheese curds more than once. Two days in a row!? Duh? Not too strong of a Dill taste. Brought some to the boys and didn't tell them what flavor so it took them a couple bites to figure it out. The only condiment options were ketchup and pizza sauce (maybe you have to ask for ranch) so I feel like with ranch to dip them in they would have been better. 7/10
Kiwanis Club-Hy Noon Chocolate Chip Cookies
By the bucket, or by the cup you have to try these at least once. If you're lucky when you're walking by you might be handed a sample. The best part is they are served warm. 8/10 in the world of chocolate chip cookies.
Tuesday (Parker's choice)
Campbell's Hand Dipped Corn Dogs-Jalapeño Cheese
Parks first choice was a hot dog, so we compromised with a corn dog. Yes, my tiny human likes spicy foods. She preferred the breading, I preferred the dog.. it was a perfect one to share for us. The spiciness was all in the hot dog part out not too spicy. I'm not a huge corn dog fan but since its the fair we had to try one. 6/10 - I would pick this flavor over an original but not my favorite fair food. Oh yeah, we dipped it in ketchup, not mustard! Some people are so weird about their condiments 😂
Coffee Stop! Medlar Coffee Co.
Milk for Park, Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte with coconut milk for momma! These guys are out of Spencer and actually are in the same building where I used to get my hair done on 4th street. 10/10 make sure to visit them at the fair and stop by their main store if you're ever in Spencer!
Ranch Cheese Curds.
I'm pretty sure if you're still reading at this point it's just to see the cute pics of Parker 💕 Or you really love food like me! Ranch curds 10/10 ..so good Park asked for "more chicken" 🙈 ok kid. Dipped in ranch of course!
Vanilla Ice Cream!!
10/10 so creamy, smooth, delicious! Park was over pictures 😂 I don't know the name of the stand, other than just ICE CREAM
Spencer YMCA Popcorn
If you've ever seen Tiny Miss at Puff's you know she can put away some popcorn. I have no idea where she found the room or what made her want popcorn, but we found a large box for only $1. Parker's rating 15/10
Sirloin Tip Meals - Rice
I did say it was Parker's choice! Girl loves her rice. I added some salt and pepper for more flavor but overall it was pretty good for just plain rice. Buttery and not mushy at all. 9/10
